About the Owner, Jerry Winkley
Growing businesses & teaching Continuing Education classes has been a passion for Jerry Winkley since 1988. Jerry began his original cleaning & disaster restoration business in 1988 by knocking on doors and calling on businesses. As Jerry developed and grew his team, he also began teaching Insurance Continuing Education classes to help address the educational requirements of the region’s Insurance Professionals.
In 2014, Jerry sold his business and expanded his Continuing Education classes. In 2016, Jerry, his wife Lisa, and daughter Wendy, started another business – Store In A Wink. Jerry became a General Contractor as their storage business expanded and Wendy kept “prodding” him to build more. Building Store In A Wink has been a fun family experience as Wendy uses her skills with customers and Lisa manages the bookkeeping (while still playing piano at church and school).
Over the decades, Jerry’s Continuing Education classes have logged over 25,000 attendees and invitations have taken him from one corner of the U.S. to the other, although he primarily focuses today on Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri.
Jerry holds an Associate of Arts degree from Hutchinson Community Junior College along with a Bachelor of Arts from Calvary Bible College. Jerry is a lifetime Kansan, is still a farm boy at heart, an experienced diesel mechanic, and a resident of Valley Center with the love of his life, Lisa. They have five children and four grandchildren. Jerry enjoys making his training practical and useful because he loves to help people excel and develop their God-given talents and abilities. Jerry firmly believes that success is never by accident – it is always by Design.
